Loving Care is provided by adult
volunteers while parents attend the 8:30 and 10:45
Sunday Worship services and 9:30 Sunday school classes. Infants through 4 years at 8:30 service, infants through 2 years at 9:30, non-potty[trained children at the 10:30 service.Room 307 3- & 4-year-olds Sunday School at 9:30. PreK-through K class at 10:30 Kindergarten through Grade 1: Room 401 Kindergarten students are invited to attend the PreK-through-K class during the 10:45 service. 1st-graders are encouraged to worship with their parents in the sanctuary. Grade Two Room 204 Grade Three: Room 403 Children entering third grade are presented with a Bible and will spend the next two years during Sunday School class becoming familiar with the books and the characters of the Bible. Children are invited to attend the 10:45 worship service with their parents. Vacation Bible School is offered one week in the Summer and Lent events are held each Spring. Grades Four and Five: Room 404 During Sunday School, this group of children has the opportunity to apply, through simulation games, debates, dramas, and small group discussions, the Biblical knowledge they learned in the younger grades. Summer Vacation Bible School is open to students in grades 4 and 5 and Lent events are held in the spring Grade 6 &7 : Room 406 During the 9:30 a.m. Sunday School hour, middle school students consider such topics as what it means to be part of the body of Christ, the consequence of sin in the world, and how to interact with one another. Through discussions, simulation games, fellowship, and reading these students learn about God, the church, and how to be a Christian teen in today's society. 8th Grade Confirmation Class: Epworth Chapel The Confirmation process concludes with the student working with a Mentor and determining their interest in being a disciple of Christ in this congregation. For more information about Confirmation, please speak to Rev. Kimberly Greway. Senior High Youth: Room 407 Students in Grades 9-12 will participate in discussion-oriented classes dealing with different Christian denominations, visit other churches and discuss why Christians believe what we believe. Life issues and current events will also be looked at from a Biblical perspective. Other Children and Youth Activities Lent events provide opportunities for the children to explore their spirituality and learn about Jesus' life, death and resurrection in an activity based, short-term segment.Room 103: Children's Resource Room Teaching resources: Crafts & bulletin board ideas, art supplies, extra curriculum, cotumes, parenting helps, children's books, and videos. |
