Affiliated Ministries

More than a place
Affiliated Ministries
Many groups utilize our space to carry on other ministries. They go beyond occupants and help to form the greater MLUMC community. Learn more about our affiliated ministries below.
Scouting
Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church is proud to charter Scout Troop 23, Scout Troop 9023, and Cub Scout Pack 870!
Pack 870 is a family pack, meaning both boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th Grade are eligible to join at any time of the year. We are located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh in Dormont Borough. Our pack is made from boys and girls from Dormont, Castle Shannon, Beechview and surrounding neighborhoods.
Pack 870 is sponsored by the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church and is in the Eagle Valley District of the Laurel Highlands Council of the Boys Scouts of America.
Al-Anon
Al‑Anon is a mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help.
Al-Anon meets at Mt. Lebanon UMC on Mondays at 10:00AM.
Storkbites
Storkbites is a free group for new moms with a baby under 1 year old. It is a place to make new friends. You can indicate your interest to join a group by sending an email to storkbitespa@gmail.com.
Storkbites meets on Tuesdays at 10AM in six week sessions.
Rotary
Rotary is a global network of more than 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Rotary meets one Monday a month at 12PM.
Hearts & Hands
Hands and Hearts in Mission is a sewing group that focuses on ministry, donating everything it creates to people in need. Together, the group brushes up on sewing skills and teaches each other techniques that make sewing easier. Hands and Hearts in Mission also has a team of home-sewers, who cannot make monthly meetings, but take kits and finish the product at their homes.
